Custom PT Cruiser 4x4

Saw this custom PT Cruiser at ebay which i read at WindingRoad. Quite cool.


Surely not what Chrysler stylists had in mind when they first penned the PT Cruiser, this "rockcrawler mudbogger 4×4 custom" is a collision of style and intent.

The enterprising builder has used the evergreen K5 Blazer (a 1979 here) as the basic platform for his monster Cruiser, dropping the Chrysler body and interior on the Chevrolet running gear. It’s fair to say that said running gear has itself been substantially toyed with; in this case the 4-inch BDS suspension lift and 36-inch tires make the biggest impression.

For those who love the look of a beastly PT but are concerned with the reliability of the package (sensibly), the seller has thoughtfully offered a personal drivetrain warranty of 30 days or 1,000 miles. You might be sick of scraping the top of your garage by then anyway.

If my pt were any lower it wouldn't clear the train tracks at the end of my road. I wouldn't mind having fun with that.

Hey their Guys,

I know this is an old post, but since it has crept back up again, I figured I would show yall a little update on it. Not sure where it resides these days, but it appears wherever it did wind up, it went to a good home, and the owner did a nice job of cleaning it up!






And just for the heck of it, here is another realy nicely done 4WD PT.





And the coolest Mod award forthe swivel down spare tire rack / table with umbrella!

I actually really like the light blue one. I think the body style would make an excellent SUV and it would have more room than my sister's Jeep Cherokee that I have to squeeze in and out of. Thanks for the pics.

Actually if you look carefully...

Paulson off road is the sun tint on the window. Still there when it was redone but however its completely sponsored by Paulson now.
