Default Will Chrysler really drop the PT?

What do you want to bet. The big thinkers at Chrysler are asking for huge bunches of money for us tax payers and I have a fealing that their busness plan includes dropping the PT, which is one of the best they have for good or reasionable gas miliage. What they should do is put a good moter and trany in a new PT and get on with it. BUT I bet they don't. I have an 04GT with 87,000 miles and would love an other PT but after driving a GT there is no way I could go back to the non turbo.

in this article here they mention the pt cruiser and why the sells of it is doing bad

American Autos Worth Saving And Writing Off- Yahoo! Autos Article Page

A quote from the article above
Other older vehicles, like the Chrysler PT Cruiser (sales down 42%), are losers because they grew old and were never updated. Models like the competing Honda Element and Scion xB caught the eye of buyers looking for something new and trendy. Element sales are off this year, but only by half as much as the PT Cruiser's. The Scion xB's sales are up 8%.This is one example of an automaker that has learned at what point to cut its losses: Chrysler announced January that it stopped building PT Cruisers last December.

That statement does not even make sense.
What January and what December are they talking about?
There is a 2009 model out which hit the lots in August 2008.

Isn't the Caliber the replacement for the Cruser like the Cursier was for the Neon
