Ok,,,here we go... befor my 2003 PT- now 69K I had two VW Jetta-- 1 a 1990 5speed Wolfsburg Jetta( actually made in W.Germany) --I drove it to 110K miles and traded it on 1997 VW automatic Jetta GT( made in Mexico) anyway they both were cool but the later 1997 was a better car( VW stunk as far as customer service-- 1 mile after warranty you are on your own & rude--what else can I say--- Chrysler on the other hand has been awesome-- a couple of times they came thru afer the warranty-big time!! & comparing all 3 the VW's nit picked you to death on repairs-- PT much better at the same point (by far) Its a shame but not really the PT lasted a long time as far as cars go 9 + years!! ***THE Roadrunner in their day only went 4years before a body change!!! *** Just my thoughts! Nope it's both. We are losing 1 Dodge and 1 Chrysler in the Richmond area.

My wife had a 98 SW2 wagon...she totalled it. Hence after a insurance payout we needed a replacement. I started looking at minivans but my wife did not want one. She was interested in a used Saturn Sw2 again..however we could not find one locally. We than got interested in a used Subaru Outback wagon...however everything in our price range was older with lots of mileage. I was at my mother in laws one day when I noticed her neighbor had a inferno PT possibly a 05 or 04,,,i cant remember but they were asking 18000$ canadian....way too much. Thats what started it..I started looking online and at dealers for Pt.s I found a 03 GT at a dealer in blue. It was a autostick with sunroof, leather for 15000+$$...my wife didn't like the colur or that it was an auto. I went home upset I couldn't buy it and that nite I found a new ad for a 03 red Inferno GT 5 speed Turbo with 36000km balance of 7yr warranty, and it was owned by a older female school teacher. I wrote her a cheque for 110000$$$!!!!!! with 4 winter Blizszak tires on rims. I love the car and enjoy modding it . I have never enjoyed a car sooooo much. And I love this forum. The car is so fun to drive and it gets looks all the time. Trust me its the car not me getting the looks. I luv this car so much it spent last winter in the garage. I have a 92 Toyota Corolla for the winters now. My son refers to it as dads Precious PT Cruiser. My neighbors say it shines like a new penny.Just to add....as the cheque was being written another couple showed up in a PT but lost out due to me snatching it up. Boy were they upset.I luv the looks, the colour, the performance, the practicallity, and all the stuff you can buy for it....not to mention this website and the great people on it. Try that with a Saturn

Just before the local dealer closed I bought a new 2008 PT Cruiser. It is black with factory chrome rims and chrome "running boards." It has a medallion on the back that says, "Street Cruiser Series." The only thing I'm able to find on the net about a 2008 "Street Cruiser Series" is an orange "Sunset Strip" Can anybody tell me where I can find info on this apparently unique car?: confused:

In Idaho two Jeep only dealers are closing. (One of these had already closed)
And one CDJ will close.

Both of the Jeep dealers have nearby Chrysler/Dodge dealers. I would guess the they will both get Jeep.

I called Chrysler today to see wherein Kas Vegas I could get my new PT serviced. They gave me the name of five locations. Four are no longer in business and one is a car rental agency. Infinity Chrysler... gone, Jim Marsh Crysler... gone. United Chrysler Jeep.... gone, Painter Motors... gone. I'll check Allstate Rentacar tomorrow.
