Default The Buyout...What does it mean?

Fiat closes deal to take bulk of Chrysler's assets - Yahoo! News

I don't know what this means for us, but I'm hoping it means they won't shelve our beloved PTs. With the move going toward smaller, more environmentally friendly cars with smaller price tags, I'm of the mind that the PT could be a great first-out for them. Of course, I'm biased, but that's what I think.

The PT is definitely dead. It's small, but heavy and not aerodynamic.
The death of the PT was announced a while ago

Fiat gets 20% of the new Chrysler not the bulk.
I just read that the PT will live for one more year (2010). This is too keep the factory running until they can get Fiats into production.

Richard,
Where'd you read that? That'd be cool if they'd wait until next year (when I might be able to afford a new one!)

REPORT: Chrysler PT Cruiser gets unlikely stay of execution thanks to Fiat tie-up

I got the info from alpar.com. This is the best site for things Chrysler. What you DO NOT do is get your info from your local paper.
