Default New 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible

Coming Spring 2004! The price is said to be $21,865 + tax. It will come with a 180HP 2.4L Turbo or an optional 220HP 2.4L Turbo. It's equipped with fold and tumble rear seats for lots of cargo room, and a push-button power top.

You can sign up for an update through the mail at www.chrysler.com/ptcruiserconvertible or by calling 1-800-chrysler.

The PT Convertible will be at the PT Block Party event on November 22 at the Fairplex in Pomona California. More info on the PT Block Party is available at www.chrysler.com/ptblockparty

Only if you can get the ragtop with a Turbo and a 5-speed, and ONLY if the thing doesn't leak. The last ragtop I had, a 91 Shadow ES Turbo Convertible, leaked pretty good, even after a new top.Convertibles are also usually much heavier.
I do like the larger doors and the look with the top down though, along with that wheel design.I'm undecided on the look with the top up.
As dumb as it sounds, I bet a turbo drop-top will be right at $30k, considering the current price of a Dream 2 at $27k.

It's my inside scoop that, now that they have the 2 door platform, there is going to be many other styles to come, think pickup truck, think panel van, from the factory all 2 doors.

I would prefer a turbo 5-speed 2-door panel, myself.

WEll, as for me and my household...my wife got one look at it tonight and is totally blown away. She has seriously recommended trading in her Acura AND my beloved 79 VW convertible for the pt convert... The hook line as delivered by a rather slighly smiling bride was she will let me have the convert and she gets stuck with my 03 GT. Acura yes, slow as molasses but so damm cool black w/ the chaulk white interior 79 uuhhh..no. A man has got to draw the line somewhere I am hopeful that the stage one for 04's will make the 180 hp motor in the vert run like the stage one GT's

Looks good but you lose lots of cargo space. Guess that's the "trade-off" for all the fresh air! [8D]
