It's a shame to have such a killer design team stuck with such crummy marketing and [mis]management.
Chrysler sure isn't alone in mis management!

Ya, but GM, Ford, and Toyota (now the "Big 3") have uninspired, crummy designs. Well, correction on GM: they did manage new heights in vehicular ugliness. (I still want to vomit every time I see an Aztek, and they disgraced the GTO moniker!) Exceptions: some Cadillacs are cool and the SSR is very sweet looking, but next-to-impossible to get, which does demonstrate their poor management! hey!

I was browsing http://www.chrysler.com.mx looking for info about parts/costs for reparations (sadly today i did scratch the right left side just near/low to the back right door handle but that's another history) and found that the GT 5-speed is not longer sold... anybody knows more about this?

Saludos!

Maybe not be in Mexico but it is the standard tranny for the GT in America! I can't imagine why it would be not available in Mexico.

I've only had my Light Almond Touring/turbo for a couple of weeks. I waited 4 years for this combination. This is my thought, and obiously several of yours as well. If you took one of each of the 4 door sedans in this price class, striped off the name emblems, and mixed them up in a parking lot, the owners wouldn't be able to identify their own cars. I don't have that problem, but have to admit, the spoiler makes locating my PT easy. My local dealer (Central California) had to look for an Almond Touring with turbo, and only located 2 within 150 miles. I wouldn't have 'ordered' the spoiler or the 6CD changer, which were on the car, but my daughter loves the spoiler, and most of the CDs I own are in the dash. The original Bay Area dealer still had a $2000 dealer markup for this car. My dealer does not add any markups, and removed that sticker.
If GM brings out the HHR retro wagon, they will have learned to bring out the hot model right away.
