Default Tampa Bay PT Cruiser club

They've site has been off-line since the 1st of the year. Anybody know if they finally closed up shop? I know all they had been doing for the last couple years is meet once a month at various local restaurants and catch up on the latest general gossup.

Jerry,

Last year they took up a collection for the up-keep of the site by a member named Jim Alamo. The site was less and less used and finally died for lack of interest. I believe a few of them still get together about once a month for lunch somewhere.

yea, I donated for the last couple years when the call went out at the end of each year. I was hoping to see shows and/or picnics like they used to have when I regularly visited the site, but as time went on all activities except the dinners (where the conversations never had anything to do with PTs) were all they seemed to be interested in.

I wonder who is going to end up with Jacks red PT? Thats probably the nicest stock GT PT on the planet. I remember he used to get upset if there was dust in the engine bay.

Sad, really sad.

Jerry

This is a sad string of events....I was considering joining up with some PT'ers if a particular club seemed like a fun and variety-driven venue. I dislike the whole sitting-at-a-restaurant thing...TBPTCC sounds like they kinda petered out

I'm in Orlando. My beautiful modified 2006 PT has been garaged for most of its life. Just now got 40k miles on it. Would like to hook up with a few other PT owners again. I put many thousands into my car from the shaved bumper, raised hood, heavily modified motor, drop kit, 20 inch wheels. Would like to show it off again.
