I've been on every cruiser forum for over 10 years and the real world crash feedback from real owners has without a doubt been positive. I think this says more about the crash tests than it does about the crash worthyness of the vehicle. Crash testing vehicles with 9 year old state of the art and finding issues?? Wow! Who would have thunk it?

Since day one it's been very fashionable among the auto journalist crowd to take pot shots at the PT Cruiser. They fancy themselves in the same role as movie critics and believe that their opinion matters more than actual success in sales and numbers.

Another blogger rambling on to fill the empty space to collect a check... that's why there's so many shots taken at these cars. Someone did it first and then came a wave of un-original thinking college graduates with half-ass degrees in "journalism". They can't form their own opinions so they just follow the herds well-established path.

Ah well... thank the lord he connected me with those poor crash ratings because if I would've known it was such a death trap I never would have bought one! Guess I better sell ours ASAP before something happens, and sell it at a huge discount because I don't think I could live with myself if the person who bought it from me got in an accident and died!

(ah... the drip, drip, drip, of sarcasm)

I saw a show on TV years back ranting and raving about the safety of Volvos... a few days later I saw a picture in the paper of one smeared all over an intersection because some trucker didn't take enough no-doz to see the red light. So much for that crash rating.

Life itself is dangerous, they all say that not one person has made it out alive since it's invention.

Ditto!

There's always something safer. And something less safe.

Driving defensively is your best bet!

Mine is a tank and I'd gladly experience a little crunch time in it than just about any thing else on the road.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.
