Depending on the trim level of the PT you have, some came with a small light under the cubby hole in the center stack that lit up the cup holders very nicely. Look under the center stack for a small rectangular hole. If there isn't a light there, it will be covered by a black piece of plastic.

This older thread will tell you about the light/hole and how to install a cup holder light if you don't have one.

Mopars at Carlisle will be here before to long, might find one there.

That bar looks like the one made by "Freedom Design". I recently bought one from another forum member. The Freedom Design strut bar was likely the most common one made. And I believe it was made the longest. But sadly, it is no longer made. There are no new PT Cruiser strut bars unless you find a vendor with some old stock.

Here's mine. And that's not the car it goes on.

Appreciate it, I was able to score that one on Ebay shipped for $61.00, which I thought was a good deal being the difficulty to find them.

That was a good deal, indeed. You should post some photos once you have it installed.

Thanks, I will definitely post up some pictures. I understand that when these are installed on the GT turbo models that there are some modification necessary, that I'll have to look up.

Yep,

Here's the pattern:

On my GT, I used a little different bar so I started out a little more conservative.

But I ended up needing to cut a little more and had to lift the center turbo vacuum solenoid a little.

You can also carefully relocate the controllers next to the firewall and not cut up the bracket. See: Xwing777 thread for pictures.

Like most that work on their engine a lot you will grow tired fast of a part that only looks good (no function) and gets in the way.
