Default Cruiser Cutomizer

Hey folks,

Just received a "promotional email" from Chrysler which talks about a "Cruiser Customizer" which appears to be a broad array of options (trim and otherwise) which is "coming soon". Anyone heard anything more about this?

Nope. Might have gotten it and my wife screened it out...
When did you buy your PT?

cruiser customizer: a stripped down base model with a really low price, no a/c, prob crank windows and stuff like that, not interested.

Yeah, but look at all the mods you could do now. Electric windows, leather seats, etc

got this email and actually this could be cool. shows flames, fade paint, stripes, and even racing numbers. think you can order them with any new cruiser (not just a no a/c model) or add them to your ride! sorta looks like how bmw/mini does it, sell the car and add whatever extra to personalize it. get the numbers on a mini, since those used to race, but not so sure about a cruiser?? but if done right (email says to check back as it is not yet ready), this could be cool! only bummers could be price and if they are dealer installed only?!?!

I think you'll find when this is up and running, that it's nothing more than a "virtual visualizing tool" i.e., a drawing or view of a PT that you can click on or drag and drop different objects onto to see how they look. Like the wheel/tire visualizer that the Tire Rack has on their website to show you what the different wheels/tire combos would look like on your Cruiser. You can change the color of the car, raise and lower it a little and try the different sizes and brands of wheels on it.

This one of the Chrysler site will probably be a little more sophisticated, but I wouldn't expect it to do much more that allow you to change paint schemes and drag different graphic packages on to a side view of a Cruiser to see how they look. It might be fun to play with, but I wouldn't expect any radical new design schemes to come out of it.

Wonder if DCX will allow me to customize a 05 GT model to have no A/C, no power windows, no radio or cd changer, NVT850 transmission 5-speed with LSD, mufferless exhaust, no rear wiper, no ABS, no traction control, no cruiser control, no spoiler, hmmmmmmmmmmm whatelse am I forgetting.

Oh well, I'll stop dreaming about my specialized stripped down racing PT............

A Race model would be cool. Stripped down, no a/c no radio, no power windows, NOTHING. Sitting real low for handling and the turbo engine with the stage 1 factory installed.[8)]
