IF that will be the next Neon/PT...then it's time for me to trade up to the supercharged Mustang Cobra if it get's released next year.

If chevolet were to redesign the Corvette and it ended up looking like a Nissan Sentra, would it be accepted by the Corvette enthusiasts community? Imagine one of these thing showing up a PT Cruiser event. Do you think it would be accepted as a real PT Cruiser?

They can build it, they can call it a Chrysler, but they better not call it a PT!

Besides, can't we really get along ok without another Vibe/Matrix?

Because this thing doesn't have the Ol Time Retro Look of the PT Cruiser, it looks too much like a mini-van for us Cruiser fans. No "Cult Following" factor, no joy. [B)] [:0]

"Move along now. There's nothing to see here."

The Cruiser is a hard act to follow. []

IMHO. everyone is right, this is no cruiser. but it is a step up from the car it replaces (good bye neon!). and i'm sure chrysler will change it when it turns into a cruiser in a few years (sorta like a 300C and magnum, same guts but different looks). the big question is this. if, in america, dodge is different from chrysler in offering wagon styles to chrysler's sedans (as mentioned in this month's motor trend article on the caliber), could the next cruiser be a sedan?

I think the next PT Cruiser will be much like this car. But, it will have it's own look. All new skin.

This type of car sells in Europe [^] and it's for the European market. It looks more like a short Dodge Magnum than anything else in the DC family of autos and of course in case you missed the co-incidence ...Magnum (US)...Caliber (EU)

Wake up out there !! Enjoy what you have !![8)]

This image has been widelly reported to be the NEON replacement. Don't know why anyone would assume that the Neon replacement would also replace/eliminate the PT.
