it has been widely reported that this car will be the basis for the next cruiser, due in 08. it was developed with Mitsu, and will debut this year as the caliber, then next year comes the new mitsu lancer, then the cruiser. think there are posts on this or other forums with the chrysler statement about it...the upside may be an SRT cruiser with an EVO powertrain!

Ugh! The HHR, that's an ugly car. [:0] It has no "sex-appeal." There's nothing in her lines or looks that says "I'm fun! Drive me!" You know the feeling you get when you see a PT, a Vette, a new Mustang, or a Camaro or Firebird, for that matter? That's what I mean. This car says "Get the groceries, drive to the work site, pick up the kids at the mall" [:0] You can't beat the PT!! GM is way too late and unfortunately it's gonna take them 25,000 personnel layoffs to figure it out.
