I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

I made note of the blond hair.....

My father had an old car that I'd borrow on dates back in the day. It had miles on it and used oil, so when I gassed it up, I'd often throw a can of STP in to help with the oil disappearance. I was BSing with the gas pump jockey about STP, and he said, "Well, it can cause problems..." - That got my attention, because I had not heard of any ill effects, so I asked for specifics... He said," Well, we had a woman who put 6 cans in her radiator and had a heck of a time getting it out of the cooling system."

I didn't think that was the fault of STP...

Yea, I think it was me that posted it the first time but it's always a good laugh and we have plenty of new people that might not have seen it.

Here's another one from the archives...

Not sure about how many owners.I think I'm the third owner. Purchased February 2017.
Changed engine oil and Trans filter and fluid.
Changed the washer nozzles.
Waiting for the weather to change and Then I will change the timing belt and water pump, Motor Mounts All. Brakes. Bell crank. and I am sure I will find other little things to change.
I love this car! it's the only car I have ever gone looking for. instead of just looking for best used car at the best price. magoo NC

Hey, I've always heard that changing the oil on a Mini Cooper the right way is not for the faint of heart.

Wrong way:

Right way:

Back in 1995 when I worked for Autozone, I had a girl come in and purchase 8 quarts of oil back to back. When I realized that she'd made 8 trips in and out of the store, I asked her if she had an oil leak on her car. She said her boyfriend told her to keep adding oil until she could see it in the valve cover! She was blond and he was a moron! LMAO

You are not far off regarding the Turbo model R56. It is a canister on the side and upper area almost covered by other engine parts and you always have oil spilling around the engine no matter how careful you are.
