Smile 1/8 Mile 9.1 @ 75MPH

Took the PT out to local 1/8 last weekend and happy with results. Not too bad for street tires and a DA of 1480!!!!! Best run of the night was a 9.1 and the worst pass was a 9.3 so out of 7-8 passes the car stayed real consistent.
I have a video of me running my buddies GTI. I let him leave first and still ran him down lol.

Try not to power brake next time. You only balloon the torque converter which you lose some ET.

oh...hehehe I know when I see sleeping on the light....

Having raced 1/4 tracks since 1975...I like to think I know what really goes on.

Last year alone I logged 45+ passes with our PT Cruiser.

I tried launching without brake boosting and it resulted in similar times with less MPH. Also the guy in the GTI was my buddy and I gave him the start to be nice. Just out having fun with a slow PT.

Power braking will damage the torque converter in a 41TE.

Power braking most all automatic transmissions does not allow the torque converter to fully lock up when launching resulting in slower ET's.

Good to know. Don't want to purposely hurt this thing.
