Question installing daytime running lights

I have just purchased a 2007 PT Cruiser in California and imported into Canada (have to have daytime running lights) how do I manage to get this done as nowhere does it show weather it has a flasher unit of a module ?

No flasher relay in the G2's 2006-2010. It all controlled by the PCM.

I used WEB ELECTRICS for adding the flashing 3rd brake lights on all my cars. They also do a universal DRL kit. Take a look at their site....

WebElectric Products - Sequential Turn Signals, Sequential Taillights, Sequential Tail Lights, Dynamite Stick Sequential, Pulsing Brake Light Pulser Flasher, One Touch Convertible Top, Dynamite Stick, One Touch Turn Signals, Daytime Running Lights, L

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

"I don't think so. I believe a CAN bus always checks to see if the device is
connected. When the DRLs are on, the bulbs are disconnected from the
original harness. If the CAN bus is looking for light bulbs, it won't find
them and may issue a fault.

Try this. Pull out your turn signal bulbs. Do not turn the signal on, just
start the car. See if you get a fault.

It was worth a try. BTW, did you try their suggestion and did you get a fault light?

No I did not, the OP can try it on his PT, if he wants to.

Just so you know, you jumper an accessory fuse to the left and right headlight fuse.

It only takes a piece of wire.

But, I have a suspicion this is just a hit and run post by the OP

You have a Gen1 and the OP has a Gen2, will what you have explained work on a Gen2?

I think you need to go to the dealer, or someone with a Starscan, or similar Chrysler tool, and turn on the DRL in the appropriate module. I watched a youtube video showing the steps for a challenger or charger. It is likely the same for the PT Cruiser.

Challenger and charger are not the same as the PT. There is no module to enable DLR. Technically on the U.S. PT's the first rotation point forward that turns on the front marker bulbs is the DLR. The DLR he is looking for canada (i'd assume) is a more traditional DLR that switches the high beam lights in series for a low output light. There is no such system on normal U.S. PT cruisers.
