Re: Rear wiper is retarded

Well, that was going to be one of my suggestions, but unfortunately they rivet the motor case halves together. So, if you don't mind chiseling off rivet heads, then replacing them, then go for it. I...

Re: Rear wiper is retarded

I would suggest doing what I did and just replace the rear wiper motor. Dorman makes a decent one in the $30-$40 range, if I recall. Only 3 bolts hold it in. You'll need to scavenge the harness end...

Re: 2006 rear wiper acting wierd

The rear wiper motor in my 2002 wasn't blowing fuses, but the motor would just stop wherever it wanted to. I ended up replacing the motor. Pretty easy job. Took me about a half-hour, including...

Re: Looking for a honest mechanic for my PT

I think if you go to NPR's "Click and Clack", the Tappet Brothers website, they have a feature where you can either recommend a mechanic in your area that you've had good dealings with, or even...

Re: Wheel bearing?

One thing you need to be aware of is that there were two different sizes of wheel bearings used. There is a 33mm and either a 36mm or 39mm, if my memory serves me correctly. Not sure exactly what...

Re: Wheel bearing

You also need to know what size wheel bearing your Cruiser has. I believe that they made 33mm and 39mm versions. Just not sure when they discontinued one size and switched to the other.

Re: Hi beam indicator in 2002 Touring Model

OK, thanks very much. I couldn't remember and it's way to cold to be pulling the dash and cluster out in this kind of weather to find out. I wish I had a garage to work in, but I don't.
