Re: signal light doesn't work when breaks applied

Both failing at the same time...now THAT would be weird! ;~)

Just on a lark, look up under the dash and make SURE that when you mash the brake pedal that a wiring harness hasn't come loose and...

Re: vacuum hose

Uh...200 mile an hour tape? LOL

Just kidding of course. Duct tape is just a quick fix and something everyone should carry in their car, but if you don't want to try and replace the whole thing,...

Re: PT Surging? missing?

Hey Rooster. I just wanted to add a thought. If all else fails...it MAY be the catalytic converter. I say that because I just had it happen with my wife's 06. Your original post sounded a heck of a...

Re: Advice: Warped Head/gasket or Cracked Block?

Yep, Nitro is right. There is some solid logic to you friend's suggestion to replace the engine. IF you can find one that you KNOW is ok.

See...everything that has to be removed to get the head...

Re: 2005 Cruiser

OK...that's different. If you could jiggle the relay box and make it work...I would start THERE. I can't see how jiggling the rely would have made the switch work.

By the way, and just to satisfy...

Re: Main Seal Leaking, What to do?

Hey Patrick. We bought the wife's 06 band new. It now has over 160 thousand on it. She has changed the oil religiously at 3,000 miles since the first day we got it. And the thing has just as...

Re: 2005 Cruiser

When you say "tries," what do you mean? Do you mean it just clicks or turns over really slowly or it whirls over like it always has and just doesn't start?

Cause if it's whirling over like it...

Re: Blowed out oring on intake manifold again!

I'm not a turbo guy xwing, but I know the properties of physics apply to all things. Air, just like water and electricity, will look for the path of least resistance and expose any weak points. IF...

Re: Hot when going up

Tim, how well the radiator cools is based on a LOT of variables. And you are right, the more air that flows over the cooling/heat sink fins the better it cools. That's the first line of cooling for...

Re: CEL blinking then rod knocking advice

Rob...because IF is the biggest word in the english language!

IF the pump ain't hurt...it might be ok. But IF it IS...or even if it's just weak...the initial start up and break in period of a...

Re: Died, Won't Start, No Codes...HELP! Resolved!!!

Just wanted to updated anyone who might be lurking on this one. Yep, it was the fuel pump. Put the old factory one back in and it fired right up. Running great, but I got to say that the old gal is...

Re: CEL blinking then rod knocking advice

LOL...I heard that, but the guys are right. There are places you can cut corners...but replacing the oil pump ain't one of them. Get the cheapest one you can find...but you MUST replace or rebuild...

Re: Died, Won't Start, No Codes...HELP!

Yep....that is the most likely suspect right enough Doc. But in this case, the car WILL start if I spray ether in the intake. If the cam sensor were the problem, I'm pretty sure it would likely start...

Re: Won't shift.....sometimes

Will it go on and shift if you let off the throttle? In other words, have you tried accelerating normally to where it should shift and then when it doesn't, let off the throttle and see if it goes on...

Re: Died, Won't Start, No Codes...HELP!

Given that the...

Re: Died, Won't Start, No Codes...HELP!

Yeah...it cranks over fine lion. Starter spins it like a top. And the car was running as good as it has since we bought it new after I replaced the catalytic converter a couple months ago, except for...

Re: MULTIPLE problems with 07 PT

They guys are steering you right fedup. And you may also be right. You MAY have more than one thing going on.

If you cure the "limp" condition that it's going into and you STILL have the problem...

Re: Died, Won't Start, No Codes...HELP!

Yeah...those would be a good guess to my way of thinking Busted. However, I would have thought they would have caused it to throw error codes?

My FIRST thought was timing belt, but the magnet...

Re: Central locking problems

Just to satisfy my curiosity...try disconnecting the negative battery cable in the car for 5 minutes or so and see if the problem won't correct it's self OCD.

If you've tried that...never mind....

Re: Series of error codes (300, 335, 344, 2074)

Yep....all down to how the data stream goes through the system. That's what I was thinking. May have just treated a symptom and not the cause. But I don't have a CLUE which passes through first, so I...

Re: Can't get my PT Cruiser to start, lights/radio work, no sound is made when "start

That was one of my first thoughts to Joe, but I'm not sure that those can cause it to die abruptly after it's already in gear and running. Which...is one of the conditions of Loral's failure. It was...
