The engine could be dropping on top of the right axle shaft, caused due to a broken centre mount. causing the wheel to jerk to the right as the right axle experiences sudden drag.

I did it from the bottom, left the axle in there, but took everything i could think of from the top to get access to work in there. don't forget to tighten the belt to the right frequency.
