Re: Really fed up with my '01 Cruiser

Wow, tranny is leaking internally, you ignore the three factory recalls and you continue to drive it? Your priorities are skewed. If the tranny went (gee I wonder why), the rest of the car is in...

Re: screaming demon coil go or no go?

I've seen dyno reults and the gain is zippo. Read carefully what CREWZIN wrote. He explained it perfectly. The neon srt-4 comes with a throttlebody spacer, but it is used only for a spacer to get...

Re: screaming demon coil go or no go?

CREWZIN is correct. The throttlebody spacer does not work on the PT at all. It does nothing for a fuel injected engine. Because of the design it can't work. They do work on carburetored engines.

Re: Turbo and None Turbo intake manifold?

Buy the plastic intake for the turbo. I have not heard of anyone with a turbo who installed the non turbo intake.

Re: Which cold air intake did you choose?

I did all that and more on my 280hp '03 GT and I didn't get better mpg. Think computer controlled and parameters. The little nazi chrysler pcm always takes EVERYTHING back to stock parameters. That's...

Re: Which cold air intake did you choose?

Get your butt dyno recalibrated. :D:D:D

Oh boy, another "better gas mileage". Would you please explain how a bit more air gives better mpg. :p

Re: K & N Air Filter

With the drop in filter, if you have the automatic, you will notice a tad quicker shift between first and second gears. The sound it makes is cool. The gains on the dyno I've seen were 2-3 hp. A far...

Re: found my boost problem

Must of had a plugged cat. Interesting because when the cat went bad on our '01 it threw a CEL. Glad you are running right again.

Re: 2006 PT Cruiser GT Turbo

Yeah, it was kind of laughable. :p Ask any question you want. Just assume that we might know a little something about the PT. :D:D:D

Re: 2006 PT Cruiser GT Turbo

Now, now, no need to get excited. The info was wrong no matter where it came from and bad info from Chrysler is pretty much the norm. :D

Re: 2006 PT Cruiser GT Turbo

Whoa, all that started with the '03 GT although they did not put HO on the GT tailgate until the turbo lite came out so as to separate the two. The '03 GT had smaller injectors hence the 215hp vs the...

Re: CANDYMAN_DROP_SPRINGS!

You mentioned you can take speed bumps slowly and be alright. You failed to mjention the fun you'll have with steep driveways and curbs when you park head in in a parking place.:D

Re: Problem with Turbo or Transmission

Turbo cars are famous for boost leaks. All vacuum hoses should be zip tied and the intercooler hoses should have the crappy factory wormdrive clamps replaced with T bolt clamps.

Re: Motor mounts

Look for motor mounts for the '03-'05 Neon SRT-4. They'll fit and they are a lot stronger than the crappy PT ones. The aftermarket solid ones will fit also, but I'd replace both upper and lower...

Check the cheap rubber bushings on the endlinks, too, just in case those are close to being destroyed.

Re: Just put my springs on my PT

Re: Spark Plug Recommendation ?

Actually, with stock plugs, don't go below .040 with your turbo unless you are beyond stage 1 power numbers. .040 works great for the stock GT and with stage 1. If you are using irridium plugs then...

Re: GT Rims

You sir, are correct. A non turbo can go to a GT 17" rim, but a turbo cannot go to a 16" PT rim.

Re: V6?

The turbo'd 2.4 will still be more powerful, weigh less and get better mpg. :D
