Glad you found the problem. You did the most important part first and that was check wiring and contacts first in troubleshooting your radiator fan circuit.

I agree with NitroPT. When the engine light came on I disconnected the battery and the engine light was not lighted up anymore. Then I hooked up the OBD scanner and the engine trouble code was still...

Your engine light should be on and you should have a code that says your high speed fan circuit is not working properly. If no code I would first check the wiring and the high speed relay. Post back...

On my Pt Cruisers I just kept tightening the belt until it stop making noise after 10 seconds. This will verify the belt is not too tight ruining the generator(alter nator).

You should have some auto parts stores that will test it for free as they can sell you parts related to the codes you have triggered. Post what codes they find.

I would first suggest you make sure your radiator fan low speed is working properly. If not that could possibly be causing the A/C freon to bleed out.

I would suggest unplugging the camshaft sensor connector and see if you get a spark. There might be a timing issue.

What actual codes are you getting if not transmission codes? Some members have gotten P0882.

Also is your generator (alternator) charging at approx. 14 volts at 2500 rpm? If voltage is lower it...

I had P0218 trigger on my 2007 Pt Cruiser. Had transmission shifting problems. After changing transmission oil and filter the code and shifting problem went away after 2000 miles.

The fuel pump relay on the 2006 Pt Cruiser with a TIPM is inside the TIPM.

Suggest manually applying voltage to fuel pump to verify fuel pump is working after disconnecting fuel pump wires.
