Re: Headlights dimming?

I have a new battery and I can watch my dash clock pulse. This tells me I have an alternator issue. But its 4 degrees here and a very cold January. Chrysler did not put the Alternator in a very...

Re: Cylinder sleeves

Re: Cylinder sleeves

When I had the head off at 94,000 I cleaned the carbon off the tops of the pistons. For unleaded fuel I was surprised at the amount. I am guessing there is blow by as the intake plenum had oil in...

Cylinder sleeves

Why does Rock Auto carry cylinder sleeves for the 2.4? Are these replaceable instead of boring cylinders? Like how Scoob? Pressed in? Heat shrink fit?

Re: High Pressure A/C Valve leaks - Replace Compressor?

Mine grunts and spits oil sometimes. But it still works. I am thinking instead of adding a can I should have it back down and recharge professionally

Re: Engine pinging

I have been fighting this as well. With the pinging do you have that half throttle no difference in power syndrome? I pulled my plugs recently. They were whitish to greyish in color which in my...

Re: Timing Belt Replacement

These like any front wheel drive, transverse engine are a B**ch to work on. I did my head and timing belt stuff around 91,000. How did you manage to crack the ECU plug? I am assuming you mean...

External Headlights

A guy near my work, local body shop covered over the stock headlights and mounted some 40s style tear drops on the fender above the stock headlights. At first I was thinking it looked stupid. The...

Re: Engine pull might be more work than I thought

AutoZone is 2,500 range plus core charge. Still cheaper than $300 dollar plus month car payments. Plus my car came from Florida so it has pretty good body still. I bet I can get another 5 yrs out...

Re: Engine pull might be more work than I thought

I replaced the head on my 2008 in the car at 100,000 miles. Now the bastid thing has an oil leak at 164,000 miles. I too am scared it's the rear main seal. I'm looking at maybe a remanufactured...

Re: New here, and I heard you guys know your stuff regarding performance increase

How much does this PCM really help these underpowered little cars? I wish these came with a v6 option. My co worker bought a Jeep Cherokee Latitude that has the same engine it seems. 180HP and...

Re: throttle body cleaning

I have done this and noticed little difference. I would think if its as bad as the one in the photo it would though. Question. Is the throttle plate cracked at idle? Or is there an orifice that...

Re: Fuel pump pressure

Thanks. I was amazed that there was no provision. What were they thinking by removing it? Only makes for potential problems having to splice a fitting in I would think.
