If that donor engine is from a 2004 like mine, it did not use a EGR. As far as I know the 2004 was the only one that did not have a EGR.

My 04 dosent have an EGR but your 08 might. If so, that is another place to look. You can clean that and check the air passages on the case to make sure they are clean. We could go on and on with...

Any chance that your throttle body is dirty enough to cause this?? If you haven't cleaned it in a while you might take a look at that. Don't forget to disconnect the battery while you are doing it.

Chryslers will purge the vapors when ever, they have no set time. If you are "packing the fuel tank" you most likely had raw fuel in the canister. It will cause the car to idle rough when it purges...
