Default Looking for good door speakers

I know there was a post about speakers listed before but I can't find it.
Here is the question....I am looking for a good set of speakers for my doors, and of course, not too expensive. I have gone through a set of Kenwoods (don't bother) and recently a set of Pioneers (sound very good but crappy bass). I picked up a pair of Infinitys but never heard them.....I was more pissed that they didn't fit the opening. any advice would be nice........thanks!

The Pioneer Rev 6.5" Comp should sound real nice. But I had a set of Alpine type "R" 6.5" comp and I thought they sounded really very nice (bass and clear) they are not cheap though. The REV is much cheaper and I will guess sounds close to the same. What kind of Pioneer did you have in there?

I had Pioneer tsa1681r 6.5" and Kenwood 1739ie's. The Pioneers, like I mentioned sounded clear but no bass. The factory speakers had better sounding bass.

I'm not sure what model number mine are. They're pioneer's (front and back). You can check my car domain page for the model numbers.

A couple of ideas, Alpine makes a real good set of door speakers the Type S is a good comp set, Type R if you got the dough. I also stick by my JL Audio with a few types to choose from like TR,VR,XR being the low to medium to high brands. Both brands offer great sound and tight bass, however Infinity does still make a great set of comps so don't rule them out either. And if you want Amps to go with that stereo JL Audio makes an E-Series Amp that offers great power without much denero. Alpine makes good amps too but they don't really have a economy line, like JL. So try those out and see, I have JL VR comp set in the doors and TR in the rear they sound great and I also have a JL Audio E-Series 4400 4-channel amp to power those. So goodluck with it all.

You guys haven't mentioned MB Quart, if he's got the dough. Has anyone given a listen? Also love Infinity.(Our home theater speakers are all Infinity Kappas, they blow you away) But have MB Quart Premium Series all around in the car. Sounds amazing.
