This is my old sub enclosure. The amp rak was located between the Subs which made for a more bulkier box. Had to make a change in the design.

Phil,
I like how you mounted the amp in the side pocket..
Thanks Kevin. That is the secondary amp that drives the component speakers. You should see the setup at night, it looks awesome! I will also post some pictures of the back of the box, it has plexi in it and lights up as well!

I got this idea from PurplePT when I bought the JL stealth sub from him.

King,
That set up would look even better if you took some 1/4" panel board and made a flush cover so when you opened the rear hatch it looked as if you had a false floor.

Ry,
I make all my enclosures out of 3/4" MDF..

All the set ups look good

Kevin
I'm gonna plexy the middle eventually. I may keep that as a thought.

Yeah, I used the 3/4 mdf as well. I just have foam padding and vinyl on top of it. It's hard to tell from your pictures, but do you have speaker grills in your cover and what is it covered in? I'd love to see a picture of it all without the cover on. I'm curious what the 3 amps are for. 1 for the subs, 1 for speakers, or 2 for subs, 1 for speakers? I wish I could have seen some other people's up close and in person just to get more ideas and learn a little technique. No one I know does anything to their cars, especially build their own boxes.

I'm running profile amps.. they may not be top of the line but they work well for my application.
(1) 125 x 2 for the subs
(2) 65 x 2 for the front and rear seperates

Ryman,
I forgoe to mention that yes I am running speaker grills, By going with a 3/4" in top cover it lays flush with the grills.
