Weird Alarm
[:I] I have a 01 LE. The OEM alarm sometimes arms itself and some times not. If a lock the car with the manual botton it does not arm but sometimes it will if I use the power locks (but usually not) It will then go off when I open the door and only goes off when I put the key in the ignition. All the doors did unlock when I unlocked the drivers door twice a few days ago it would unlock them at all. The doors all lock when you go over 10mph. Yesterday they all unlocked when I stopped for a light and did not relock no matter how fast I went. They only relocked the usual way after I stopped and restarted. Is my alarm system haunted? there is no consistency. How do I 'reprogram' it?

Hi, Joe.
Sounds like the RKEM module (Remote Keyless Entry Module) is ill. Do a Search on RKEM - others have had gremlins, too. I believe it's behind the radio.
