I have been looking for a way to connect my ipod to my 2003 pt gt stock stereo. I don't want to go with the fm transmitter since I have to continually change channels to get clear audio in my area. The DLO Direct looked good because it connects to the stereo with a miniplug and charges the ipod, but you can't control the ipod with the stereo controls. What I did find that looks good is the Neo Ion http://www.mp3yourcar.com/default.asp which connects dirrectly to the stereo and allows for stereo button control. I think this is the best way to go since you can place the ipod in a glove box and lock it out of sight, or take it out so someone in the car can be the DJ. Direct connect should provide the best audio. And best of all you should be able to load your car with over 15,000 songs, much better then a cd changer. So tell me what you think about any of the products mentioned above. If you have used them, what you think and ease of instalation.

i have not seen the ones you mention, i got the Peripheral PXDP iPod2Car interface for iPod (http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=360)about a year ago. comes with a long cable so you can put the ipod anywhere, and you can use the stock stereo controls with the ipod. very easy to install. i love it, so much better than the many fm adaptors i tried. let us know what you get!

Hey cali,
I saw the Peripheral ipod2car at best buy the other day, so that's the one I think I'm going to go with since I can get it from a brick and mortar store. It comes with a ipod cradle too. Your right about fm transmitters, in my city SF there are radio stations on the whole dial so there really isn't a clear station to bradcast to. I have a sirius fm transmitter and that one just drives me up the wall. I have to continually switch from channel to channel when going from city to city, since radio stations will change. So FM is out and Direct connect is in. I'll update when I get it plugged in.
