there are alot of negative triggers for the door locks and if the factory alarm has them too. my sure you have a module if you have a chip in your key.

we charge roughly like 400.00 installed with a lifetime warranty. the reason so expensive we need to modulaters for the pt, but they are nice to have

I work at a stereo shop so i get to buy at cost and then install myself with a friend from work. Generally the base ones go for about $100 plus install and the bypass for the chip and door lock module so you can control door locks from the new remote. Total i think it ends up between $400-$500. If you can tackle the job yourself you could do it for under $150, and then you can upgrade to LED remotes or two way which is the one i got, its really cool, tells you when the doors are locked/ unlocked, and when the car is running and all that good stuff.
I recommend Directed, which includes python, valet, viper and others. www.directed.com

Save Yourself money and make an extra key and hide it in the steering column near the ing. swtich. You might have to play with it a little, but it works I did it. Also go to the12volt.com and you can get info and wiring diagrams. There is alot of stuff there to help you with the install. I used it myself as well. The door tiggers are funny but there is 1 wire on the pass. side that will work the lock and unlock if i remember right. You do have to use a relay. There might be 2 wires though I don't remember I did it 2 years ago and never had a problem.

thanks. its nice to work at a car shop cuz everytone there installs security and remote start systems. I got the chrysler specific bypass for the chip in the key so i dont have to hide a key in the car. I ended up getting two window modules, so that all four of my windows become automatic, one touch up and down. and be able to control them from my security remote and make it so that when i arm the alarm all windows roll up. I'll let everyone know how it turns out, because if the window modules work like i hope, im sure many people would like to add 1 touch up and down to their windows
