Default Can 6"x8" speakers fit in the back?????????

I got a pair of 5x7 on ebay but that idiot seller sent me a 6x8 and I don't wanna send it back......just wondering can that size fit? if it's just some cutting and drilling of plastic trim than I'll keep it but if metal body is in the say than I'll return or sell it

Thanks

If you go to crutchfield.com they have a section that says what fits my car.If you type in pt cruiser they claim that a 6x8 will fit.I have infinity speakers in my car.The box says 5x7/6x8 and they fit no problem.I guess infinity uses 1 speaker for 5x7 and 6x8 applications. Its easy enough to pull off the panel and see if they fit.

What he said ^

You can buy adapters, and make them fit (just as long as they don't clip the plastic panels you should be ok.

for some reason they say a 6X8 would fit but when I put off the rear panel which are way easier to remove compare to the front that the rear is a snug fit I don't see that besides 5x7 that anysize can fit in there

It depends on how it mounts though... I would do a test fit, then if need be, do a little trimming (which I don't think you'd need to though).
