Default Soldering or Twisting radio + speaker wires????

Do I really need to solder these new radio and speaker wires or can I just give them a good twist and secure them with electrical tape? Do they really make any difference?

Thanks

If you are going to twist at least use a good western union splice.

Buy a selection of wire nuts - they twist on/off, but hold much better than just twisting/taping. They come in all different sizes - I've never had a problem using them.[?]
