I just picked up one from www.moparsupercenter.com for 118.50 shipped, had it in 3 days.
I was really pleased with the difference it made.
Worth every penny.

Jeff at moparsupercenter is a great person to deal with.

Thanks for the buying tip!

I've been looking for one of these since I purchased my PT Woody in 2003! Obviously I wasn't looking in the right places.[)] Actually I was hooked on the Kenwood KSC-SW1 paradigm.[xx(]

I just installed a USA Spec Aux Adapter to play my iPod thru the factory radio so I guess I'm in the sound upgrade mood.

Does anyone have any advise for installing this sub woofer once I get it? Any help will be appreciated.

The instructions that come with it are pretty good. Installation for me took little more than an hour.

The following at your own risk, standard disclaimer applies.
One small suggestion, (I discovered this by accident)the instructions call for a cutting wheel to break the plastic welds that hold the cubby (what I called it)to the large trim panel, I didn't have one, so I used the largest flat blade screwdriver I had. I put the blade as close to the each weld as I could and carefully turned it till the weld popped, basically prying them apart. No mess and took about 5 min. to do, but be careful, pry too hard and you'll discolor the show side of the panel.
After you pop the first 1 or 2 you get the 'feel' of it and the rest go faster.

The hardest part for me was getting all the wiring fed up to and behind the radio, not much room for the whole bundle.

Oh, ond more tip, when your're putting the grille on the large trim panel, you will have to remove a rubber "D"(you'll understand when you see it) and replace it when the grille is in place. Put some silicone or other lube on it before putting it back, it will make it much easier to reinstall.

Home some of this helps.

Thanks Rlvey! That was exactly what I was looking for.
I found the illustrations on the mopar supercenter website. (I'd call them instructions but the verbage was kept to a minimum.)

Triggerman,
One other tip, on steps 23&24 of the instructions, when you splice the wire in, make sure you feed the red wire from behind the metal/radio support bracket thats in the dash to the power outlet.

The instructions show the splice being done outside the dash, but when you put the radio and the power outlet assy. back, the red wire looped in front of the support assy.

I missed this because I had a 4 and a 2 year old helpers assisting me at the time. I've gotten good at desoldering and resoldering when I have the extra help

It arrived Thursday evening and was installed 2 hours later! (I had to stop for dinner at my wife's insistence

Rlvey's installation tips really made the job easier and gave me a leg up on potential problems. I used Simple Green soap solution to lubricate the "D" shaped rubber piece instead of silicone spray, which I didn't have. I used a small 6 inch pry bar to pop the welds. It was much sharper than my screw drivers and could get right under the welds and pop them easily!
You were also right about stuffing all the wires behind the radio. The fact that I had the Aux Adapter for my iPod already back there really exasperated the problem. I was careful to route the red wire before soldering it and was smiling to myself about the mental picture of times when I did exactly the same thing as you. Usually it's crimping and inserting multi-pin connectors and forgetting the one piece backshell! [xx(]
Thanks to PEATEA's and coopj40's tips I left the back panel off until I was able to turn on the radio and tune the amount of bass with the adjustment pot on the sub-woofer. It's a good thing I did because there was WAY too much bass for my liking. That's a good problem to have after going all these years without any!

Thanks again to every one on this thread for helping me out!
