Default convert sirius to ipod input

So, my PT came with sirius radio, which i thought was the biggest, overpriced piece of crap with the worst content ever invented. i never renewed it after the trial ran out. I hear that the sirius tuner is somewhere in the back of the car. is it possible to disconnect it and connect a 1/8 inch audio jack in its place so i can plug my ipod in and play it over the sirius input on my factory head unit? right now im using an FM transmitter and its pretty annoying

That will not work if you have an in dash CD changer. If you do, get an aftermarket head unit with iPod control. I did and it has been great!

thanks for the replys. sorry I was away so long. my PT has the in dash CD changer, so that one kit won't work. I really want to keep my existing head unit, as i am not a fan of the tiny buttons, non-intuitive controls, and flashy lights of aftermarket head units. My ipod is a second generation one, which has a firewire port instead of the new dock connector, so it won't work with any of the systems that offer ipod control via the special cable. all i want is a 1/8 minijack from my head unit to plug in the ipod. I really wish they had put a line in port on the front of the deck like some brands do.
