Default XM

I just got an XM sat radio in the PT yesterday. I am in love so far because the accually play MUSIC! MUSIC that I want to listen to, instead of those stupid fm stations that play nothing but BS and ads. What do you all think of your sat radios?

XM is a good Sat reciever, but I went Sirius also. Has anyone listened to Howard Stern lately? Personally I like Sirius Disorder, good mix of music.

I liked XM because my mother will no go into contracts with companies, Her famous quote "when the service gets poo-pooty, I am out without a hook"

I took me a month to talk her into getting a Cell Phone with a contract, and I had to save up the termination fee first.

my PT came with Sirius and i dropped the service 2 years ago and haven't looked back. theres alot of better things i could do with $160 a year or whatever they charge. I thought the music selection was bad compared to what i could get for free on FM. Of course i live near a big city so there is lots of FM to choose from. i mostly listen to my ipod though.

I hear sirus is not the best deal, plus I heard you needed a 12 month contract, which I stated that my mom doesn't so contracts.

Yeah it's pretty lame to have to shell out 12 bucks a month for music, but I work from home and after having an i-pod on for a week the music starts repeating, and putting an FM radio gets old with all the comercials, college radio has gotten pretty lame, so the best thing for me has been satalite radio. To me it doesn't really matter XM, Sirius, they both play great music. But I know the feeling of why should I pay for something that I can get for free. I dropped my Direct TV once free HDTV became available over the air.
