Default Ignition Hot Fuse Under Hood?

On every car I've owned, I have put two little LED lights on the license plate on the front end... where the bolts should go. It has become like a "signature" for me, because my friends always know who I am at night and will often call saying "I just saw your snake eyes... meet me at so and so." I'd like to install these on my PT as well, and already have them bolted in place. I'm planning to use the negative spot where you would jump start the car as a good solid ground, and I'm looking for an ignition hot fuse to tap into so the lights are on with the ignition.

My question is, are there any of these that are ONLY hot when the key is on under the hood?

And if not, what is the best way to route the wire through the firewall? I believe that I read that fuse #14 is the radio fuse; the same fuse I used a circuit tap on in my explorer.

Thanks for any and all help!

Bryan

There's at least 4 spare fuses in the engine fuse box. I colored them pink in the diagram below. At least two of them are hot all the time as I ran my Ahooga Horn and undercar LED lights to them and I can use them any time I want.

Hm, I was hoping to have an ignition hot only source so I wouldn't have to run a switch. Guess I'll test them for ignition hot with a test light tomorrow, unless anyone has any insight on this. If not, where is the best place to run wires through the firewall?

Where the hood cable goes through.
