Sorry I took so long to post pics. Here is the Alpine PLT-5. It has really good sound, I'm very happy with it. It's designed for being behind the seat of a regular cab pickup. It sounds best with the shelf in place and up against the seat. It gets louder if you put a box behind it too.

With shelf:

The bungee cord looks tacky but I didn't want it mounted so I could remove it if necessary. The sub took a beating in the first week or two because I didn't realize how much it could move. That's why the dings, it actually is very tough. It has survived many very fast corners and slamming into the opposite side of the car hard enough to pull out all the wires... Oops... The bungee holds it securely, it's as heavy duty as I could find.

I hope this info helps,
Ben

That is a neat little unit, what kind of wattage RMS is the built in amp putting out? do you have any idea on dB? how low Hz?

It's hard to find specs on that unit. I know that it is 250W RMS, 750W peak. It can dim the headlights pretty good. I think I saw somewhere in a forum that somebody db tested it in an SUV and got 134, I'm not positive that's what they got. Here's where you can find Alpine's manual for it: manual
