Ok, I bought this :
Harman/Kardon Drive + Play: Page 1 and now I want to install it. What is the best on-line resource that can show me where all the radio connections and power connections are on my 2006 PT? Thank You

According to the site, looks like there are only two considerations - power and signal input.
For signal input, you can A) use the FM transmitter which will be one less cable laying in your cockpit B) or use a miniplug -to- miniplug cable found at most any electronics store for about $7 to plug into the front of your factory stereo ..... assuming you have the base CD player with the miniplug auxillary input. Otherwise, the upgrade stereo CD changer doesn't have an AUX input. So you're stuck with FM transmitter. For power, you will probably have the option of using a cigarette lighter plug .... otherwise if you want to do a more permanent install you can just tap into the power on the back of the cigarette lighter. There are only two wires back there. Use a multimeter to figure out which is ground and which is power. Too easy. |
