I was just curious what popular stereos people were putting in their Cruisers.

Since the hole is non-standard and I wanted a factory look, I kept the factory head, but interfaced it with an Audiocontrol DQL-8 digital EQ/crossover with the factory outputs, then sent the processed signal to the amps and speakers I added. The DQL8 is a little pricey at about $500 but it does alot of useful stuff and it makes the install sound exactly like what using an aftermarket deck would sound like. My sound is flawless.

Kenwood KDC-MP538U CD Receiver

Kenwood Bluetooth Module
Kenwood Sirius Satellite
iPod in glove compartment

I like the clean lines of the MP538U. I ordered from Cruthfield. The adapter they send to fill in the excess in the dash where the 1.5 din stereo was is textured to match the finish of the a/c control plate.

Oh, I'm also running the audio from my GPS through the head unit so I can hear it! You can't hear a dinky GPS speaker with top-down driving.

I'll try the picture again....

I like the idea of the fold out screen for navigation and dvd, but I don't think I'd like it covering the a/c controls.
