Wiring for Stereo on 07 cruiser

i am fairly new to the car audio trend.
i was trying to replace my factory radio in my 07 cruiser and when i removed the stereo i figured out that the wire harness that plugs into the back of the radio did not fit into my new stereo. is there any easy way to fix this?
it was a Sony CDX- GT130 CD CHANGER. sorry if it seems simple, but not to me.

There are a lot of people here that can give you exact instructions but essentially you need to buy the proper wiring harness to replace a can-bus radio (what comes with the PT) with a standard radio. You will also have to route power to the unit from another location like the aux port (lighter).

Purchase a wire harness from your local auto stereo shop. Walmart has some but not sure if they have one for the PT. It plugs into your PT's harness and has color coded pig tails you can then splice to your stereos harness. That way no cutting of your PT's wiring is needed. The only seperate wire you may need to run is a keyed power lead from your stereo to a keyed power source. Easiest place would be to the accessory plug on the center console below the stereo.
