Default Factory sirius radio

Hello I have a 2007 PT Cruiser with a factory installed combo am fm cd sirius radio. My problem is I'm getting a no single message when I try to switch to the satellite mode, does anyone know why this might be happening. I also have a sirius sportster radio that I tried to hook up the cars satellite antenna to but I couldn't find the same antenna cable that is used for the sportster.

thanks in advance

No signal indicates nothing received from the antenna. Are you testing under a carport or garage or other covered area? You need line of sight generally south to southwest or southeast. Exactly where the satellite is depends on where you are.

The input comes from the wiring harness and I believe there is a separate connector on the back of the radio for the Sirius stuff.

The antenna is on the back of the car on the roof - its a black bubble. You can check connection there, and there is also a junction connector in the center console under the shifter.

Thanks I thought you would get a serching for single message if you went under a viduct or were in a garage. I'm just wondering if it might be the factory radio. I have a sportster model that I'd like to test on the antenna but it seems that there is a diffrent hookup for the sportster and the factory model. That connection under the gear shift do you know if it has a regular antenna connection?

Fairly certain that the "sirius box" that the antenna goes to is in the rear hatch driver side somewhere by the little pocket on that side. THe antenna terminates at that box. I believe all the wires running forward to the radio are just audio, control and maybe power.
