Awesome! It looks great candyman. I'm loving the painted center dash/console. It will look great with the stainless steel insert. The audio is....a masterpiece!!! Great job!

Hey Everyone,
I thank you so much for the good feedback! This project kinda snowballed into a bigger deal than I was expecting, but luckily it all worked out in the end, and I even got to get back into the booth for a few and spray this new water based paint the EPA now requires which nobody at the Shop had used yet. SO now I have one more show this weekend up in Stanton and then if everything works according to schedule, my ride is headed back into the body shop for some bigger things that were already in the works before we go side tracked with everything. Warped, I wish I could tell you more about it but it was part of a deal I had with a Stereo Shop who used to sponsor the car and all I know is it is a modified unit originally made by Clarion. I do know that it is a custom processor put together by the shop owner who does some crazy custom mods on XBOX 360's on the side and such, and was really, really into custom electronics. Other than that, I just don't know much more about it. Sorry my man! Anyways, you guys all go easy, and I will catch yall later. Candyman

What kind of upgrade did you do to your electrical system? Like alternators and wires

Hey their thedogg001,
This is actually pretty much my third audio layout update so a lot of the basics were already in place, but we went back through and upgraded everything we could think of when we had everything apart. Pretty much all new gold plated high end RCA's, new power, and hyper ground set up, custom color coated smoke, and clear speaker wire I believe in 4 gauge but don't quote me on that. I like paint and body filler, and occasional fiberglass, and love big custom audio, but my buddy CJ is the install electronics wizard for sure! He has actually done a ton of high end installs for a number of rides featured on the cover of several Magazine's, and even did a couple of complete installs for featured cars in the first two Fast & the Furious Movies, so when it comes to high end custom tunes within the So Cal area, he is the man with the plan hands down, and probably one of the only ones I would trust to do everything right the first time! I can tell you that before he did the rewiring all my lights did flicker with every hit of the bass even with a 20 Farad Capacitor, but whatever he did, we upped the power by almost double and without changing anything else from Alternator to Battery, the lights stay bright with almost zero noticeable dimming whatsoever! Other than that, I am still running the sock alternator for now till she gives up the fight at which time I will be upgrading to the high output replacment to help handle everything a bit better. I just lost my red top Optima battery not that long ago and had to drop in a stocker out of force of the moment to make it to a recent show, and haven't gotten around to replacing it yet, but when I do, I am going to go a completely different route that as of yet I have not seen anyone do as of yet. I am getting ready to add a new re-configured air ride set up to my ride to make it drop hopefully to within about 2" or so from the ground, along with a few other toys, which is going to take a way bigger chunk of power than I am already pushing so I am going to more forwards with the multiple battery set up, but instead of going with two Optima's, I am going to be doing a little moding and am hoping to fit three Kinetic High Output Deep Cycle Batteries which will provide a ton more output than the Optima's, and will work way better for the specific purpose of completely draining them out, and recharging without killing the batteries. They are also much smaller, and just in a different league when it comes to batteries without a doubt! Also, because of the size, I can fit three lined up in a row if I do the custom short hard pipe set up with round air filter mod so the power will be outstanding for helping to keep all my toys running. With is set up this way, I will be running a new set up where I will be able to toggle the power to either run all together, or have one Battery dedicated to just the motor, and the other two to the Audio, Video, and Lights so I can run down the system completely and still have the juice to start, and Cruise anywhere anytime. And of course I will also be running higher end Stinger Cable Connectors to clean up all my under hood wiring. Anyways, that is about it for the moment. I will be sure to do a write up on the Battery Mod when I get to do it a bit down the road. Until then, I hope that pretty much covers your question. Stay cool, go easy, and I will catch ya later! Candyman

Wow, all that is off the stock alternator. Does the hyperground wiring kit help that much? What are some of the original electrical upgrades you performed? Your pt is sick by the way. Got a long ways to go on mines
