Nice one, but the main speakers i was interested in were the rears

you said you were using BOSTON S85 8x5's? No pictures of those, main thing I need to know is did they slot str8 in or did they have to make the holes bigger? (dremmel)?

If you could either answer or post pics or even both would b cool,

Pics not bad for a camera phone!

How does she sound?

I think they are s65 but I believe they are in my signature. But anyways they don't go straight in, the speaker is a little smaller. The Audio store that installed did however have a boston ring that makes it fit, which was about 20 dollars. They through it in as a freebie because the guy really liked my car, I'm Away right now so I couldn't take it apart to show you, sorry.

EDIT: Speakers are s65, speakers are crystal clear, don't think I heard much more clear ones before. Speakers were def well worth the 120!! Overall for my first car system I'm happy, I have enough to let people hear I'm coming.

I really like the Boston Acoustics line of speakers. For the price they are above and beyond anything else that is available at retail. It's too bad they are coming out and going in my wifes car soon. I'm going to the next level and that they are coaxes and will be driven with an active setup (3 way) - makes them unsuitable. There are much much better speakers available though not usually at retail. And fitting the driver to the application is one of the goals of my future system upgrade.

Not sure what I'm replacing them with yet. Have SX65's in the doors, S35's in the dash and some dayton tweeters in a hole above the 6.5" mounting loc. Rear speakers have been deleted.

You definitely need to modify both the door with a spacer and the dash with a dremel, but it isn't too bad.
