Default 06-up stereo/speaker removal

I recently just purchased a PT Cruiser and have found this site very resourceful, and hope to contribute more instead of just asking questions as I get more experience with my PT.

So with that said, here is hopefully my first useful post. This is more of a follow up to Duster's awesome post for speaker installs.

I replaced my stock REF stereo this weekend (Pioneer DEH-P7000BT CD receiver at Crutchfield.com) and speakers and amp are on their way. I could not find instructions for my 08 specifically, so here are the Crutchfield docs I got this past weekend and figured I would provide a link to them. Sorry if this has already been posted, but again, I searched and did not see anything for 06 and up.

Anyway, here is a link to the file due to the size limitations and I could not get the file sizes down small enough like Duster did. I guess because these are actual photos instead of drawings, so the pictures looked horrible trying to make them smaller. This was the only thing I could find which was free to host files, looked safe, and does not require you to register in order to download (just have to wait 10 seconds after clicking the blue download button).

thanks for the follow up and pictures. I actually came across your post and been trying to get through your mod pages to see what all you have done and really like what you've done from what I've gone through thus far.

I was looking at getting the db6501 also and using your idea for tweeter placement, how do you like them? What are you using to run them? I searched your thread for amp and amplifier and did not come up with anything.

Im running off the stock headunit actually. No amps or anything besides the speakers. Have the sub box Candyman donated to me but its a pretty paper weight for the moment.

I plan on getting a Kenwood KDC-993 as a headunit though and probably a profile amp.

The location of the front tweets is a really common way of doing it actually but it sounds really nice from there =)
I sat in the rear of the car and held the tweets in different places before I decided to put them where I did.
