Default new components

this is a small topic forum. I thought alot more of us would be upgrading the factory system. Anyways i just traded in my clarion components for some boston acoustics. What a difference! The clarions do not like to be pushed to much, which i didnt like. Theses bostons can take a pounding and still come out crystal clear. Highly recomended igf you want to upgrade from factory

i have the kicker 10L5. Pounds realy hard. Sounds like 2 tens but made more for spl than sound quality. I Think the JLW7 is a realy good sub also anything from eclips is quality stuff as well. Your style of music will play a big role in your choise of sub

PTGT, you got any pics of your setup? I'm looking to do a sub, but I need to keep some space in the trunk for lugging all my crap around....

i most would be happy to supply a pic. but i dont know how to post photos on a reply like this. Any help? I think my setup will show you how to have some flash and usable space aswell. p.s. i have a digital camera. And to Bob, I beleive car audio is best left to the pros. I pay a guy to do all my installs. He does it for a living and is more knowlegable than i.

Yobiebs - I can give you a picture of mine also, it might help. I have a self made box with 2x Kove Audio 10" with 2x Hifonics Amps enclosed. My whole idea behind it was to save room for stuff. I missed the measurement by a 1/4" because i didn't account for the grill covers on the subs, because my goal was to be able to have the shelf on the bottom tray. I'll have to take some pics, but i'll get them up if you want to see. Also I can try to find the dimensions for the box, all it takes is a sheet of 3/4" MDF board, a saw, and about 1 afternoon...Now wiring is a different thing.
