Ok, so I finally got a 07 Cruiser 2 weeks ago and I just now got to installing my aftermarket head unit, amp and sub. I went and picked up a wiring harness and I ran into a little problem. The constant power wire went to nothing. On the factory harness I have 2 red wires, 8 speaker wires and a ground. I hooked it up, after having to modify the aftermarket harness since the wire that supplies constant power to the HU went to nothing on the factory harness, and my HU stays on even when I turn the car off. Then I broke out the current detector and found what should be the memory wire since it the the one out of the 2 that had current going to it with the car off. So I rewired the aftermarket harness again and now I still have constant power running through both wires and my HU still stays on. Needless to say I'm about ready to pull my hair out. Also, I'm having a hard time finding somewhere to ground my amp in the rear cargo area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm a newbie, but I searched through almost every thread and couldn't find any answers, so I'm sorry if this has already been covered.

I've got an older PT so I didn't have any trouble, but the newer Chrysler vehicles now use that crazy CANBUS system that controls the power of the radio through the BCM. Your PT may have this type of radio.
Scosche and Peripheral both make an adaptor that takes care of your problems. It's a little black box that should have come with your wire harness. Looks like this: Peripheral Electronics ![]() The other possibility is that you have purchased a defective wire harness that is missing the two yellow wires

i had the same problem with my 06 cruiser, i could not get it to turn on, after futher investigation i found that there was no ignition wire coming off of the harness, the wiring harness does not have a ignition wire. (red wire) so you will have to find a ignition wire some were in your car. luckly ive already did this and i no where one is lol.
THIS is how you solve it with out spending money. pull your carpet away from the lower part of your center consle. located the cigerette lighter power wire/ground wire. its going to be in a black mesh sheilding. theres 2 wires so make sure you do not cut through the ground. The pink wire is what you need to splice into. splice it and run a wire up to the red wire on your cd player. make sure you re connect the cigerette lighter wire and properly wrap it so you have no exposed copper. once you do that the cd player should turn on and off like normal. hope this helps

I used the Scosche wire harness and did not have any issues. Everything worked the first time!
