You must do what they said. There is one chance to reset it. An authorized dealer will have this procedure. They would contact Eclipse and be given a code to enter. Without an authorized dealer, your best chance is to send it in. Too many tries to unlock it will leave you with no choice but to send it in anyway.
I used to sell them. I know it sux, but that's why thieves don't steal them. This is how Eclipse tracks them. I actually got an Eclipse deck back that was stolen!! The system works!! Good luck! |

I doubt Eclipse ever had a partnership with Chrysler. I guess it's possible a Chrysler dealer took the car in on trade, it had a dead radio. They had an Eclipse laying around. Before they sold it to the guy you bought it from, they put that 5441 in to replace a dead one....Who knows....it was a used car...are you the second or THIRD owner?? In the end, I'm willing to bet Chrysler can't help either. Going directly to Eclipse is your only hope. Be prepared to give them a whole slew of personal info (along with a mothers maiden name) to have it re-registered in your name. They will check to make sure it's not owned by someone else. It could take some time if it's registered under the previous owner and you don't have their information. Again, Good Luck!! |

Thanx again for the information. I am the second owner. When I purchased the car, I had a CARFAX done on it. No record of another owner besides the original owner. The cruiser was clean with no recorded major problems. I have already had to replace the cam position sensor and the oil pressure sensor. Besides that, no other problems until the receiver issue. Need to get it squared away before late September, I have gotten together a PT Cruiser Rally and don't want to be without my tunes. Thanks again for all the info.

Well ADR, I got my receiver back in working order. $95 and a 2hr trip to the nearest Eclipse car audio installer. It was better than pulling the deck out and shipping it to Fujitsu Ten. The receiver is now registered to me and if the problem ever occurs again, all I would have to do is call Fujitsu and they will talk me thru the unlocking process. Thanks ADR for your info, I just didn't want to believe that there wasn't an easier way. Oh Yeah!!! Welcome to the CRUISER CLUB.

![]() $95 is a little higher than we charged back in 2000 ($25 for someone that didn't purchase the deck from us) but I guess it saved you from being tune-less for a couple weeks!!
