Default Top-shelf component set? Audiophile help?

Any IASCA judges or sound pro's (that own a PT) here?

I'm new to the PT, but not to car audio. I understand every speaker set-up will be different and everyone has their own taste.

I would like some feed-back about a new component set that is easy to tune in the factory locations of the PT. I would like to keep the interior cosmetics stock in appearance so this requires a mid/tweet combo that offers wide bandwidth in the tweeter and good response off the glass. I don't want to buy a 1/3 EQ or time correction for this system. The set will see about 75 watts RMS/ch....possibly bi-amped in the future to 150 watts RMS/ch.

I haven't been in sales or installation for some time so I'm not sure what's good anymore. Back in the day, I used MB Quart (made in Germany). I also had a system with JL Audio XR's that I really liked, but both had modified locations that made it easier to get a good stage and good response. This vehicle will not have that treatment.

Thanks for the insight!

Hey ADR,

I love sound, but not really up on all the tech end of it as far as proper staging, and so on but for what its worth, I am running Rockford Fosgate T1682S 6"x8" Component's, and tweeters with crossovers the in the rear pillars, but mine are modified on custom plates behind the stock pillar cover so their not completely stock, but sounds pretty decent to me.

Then again, I recon I'm somewhat beyond stock for the most part by definition anymore (LOL). I am still working on er but she is sounding pretty decent for now. My only regrets are, even though it looks way cool, the free air inverted subs only work when the trunk is down and nobody can see them do their thing, and the current box is tuned yeah so, and I am maxed on power now so its at its limit so even though it pushes a lot of air, and hits pretty hard, it could always use more...and more...and more...and maybe a little more than that!!! You know how it goes.

Honest, my ultimate goal one of these day is to lose my lille stuff and make the dive into the big boy pool and see if at all possible I can make a PT effectively do this!

Like I say, I can push some air, but not like that!!! Best thing bout Steve Meade is he isn't too far from my house!!!

Go easy, and I'll catch ya later.
