Default Aftermarket keyless entry question

Hello all. I'm new to these parts and I have a question. I just recently purchased an '02 LE (with the woody trim... pretty sweet!), but it did not come with a keyless entry remote. I went to my local dealer and they want an arm and a leg for OEM unit, which is money that I simply cannot spend. So I bought an aftermarket keyless setup that came with directions that might as well have been written in Greek. It's made by Alert and the model number is KE1702R. Can somebody help a newbie? Thank you for your time!

I'm sorry, but let me be more specific concerning the help I need: The aftermarket kit came with a box (I'm assuming it's where the sensor is) and two sets of wires. What I would like to know is the factory setup (where the sensor for the stock remote is), and I would also like to find out that if I do remove current sensor if I would be able to just connect the wires from the aftermarket kit to that so I don't have to buy any more parts or splice wires that I do not need to. Again, thank you!

The stock remote is located behind the radio. It is likely that wiring for it is there.
To get at it - pry out the window switches, there should be a screw underneath, then pry off the console surround.

Does that mean I can buy the OEM kit and plug it together or does it require splicing and connecting to the battery? Also is there any specific programming proceedure once installed or is it ready to go?

Thx, 66CUDA
