Okay, so my horn isnt working now.
I checked the fuses, nothing is blown. when i put key in, horn doesnt work, key out, still doesnt work with car turned on etc. panic button on key.. i turn it on, only lights flash no horn. when unlocking/locking door no beep sound. im having a tough time finding the relay for the horn. theres nothing in the manual for the relay for horn..... im pissed off, cus without horn i cant pass safety inspection. does anyone know what i can do? or where relay is? thanks!! |

There doesn't seem to be a separate horn fuse in the PDC (Power Distribution Center - which took the place of the 2 fuse boxes in the 00-05 models).
Your problem might just be in the horn electrical connector (in the steering wheel - see pic) or the horn itself which is under the inner fender in the passenger side wheel well. ![]() |

Sums it up. And, if relay isn't getting power, then it's the switch in the steering wheel....

I too am having a similiar problem, my horn and security in my 2007 pt cruiser, have stopped working as well. If I follow your diagram above will I set off the air bags? How do I go around this setback?

To take off the air bag module like in the picture above you need to work from the back side of the steering column with a pair of 90 degree snap-ring pliers to spread apart the spring clips that retain the module.
According to the instructions it says to always disable the airbag system but doesn't say how to do that. |

Have a 2008 PT the horn comes on out of the blue. I give the fuse box a smack and it stops. I think it is a relay in the fuse box but I don't know which one. Any thoughts. I'm new to forums and don't know how to post a new post. (yes I have been living under a rock and don't know how.

Just opened the door with the key and the horn went off. Again Smacked the fuse box and it went off.
