Hey, I have an '05 Cruiser and I am going to be installing tweeters in the back sail panels and I was planning to just splice the wires in with the front tweeter wires. However, I do not know what color wires they are and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me.

I'd like to do that... but I honestly just don't have the funds for that sort of thing right now.
If I were to do that then I'd amp my 6x9's or other component speakers first. |

Well, you'd be amping your fronts and rears at the same time with a 4-channel. I'd do that before installing rear tweeters, but to each his own.

I still have yet to be answered... Does anyone know the color of the tweeter wires in an '05 PT?

Hey their Delicroix,
The correct corresponding color wiring should be correct here however you may want to just do a couple of simple tests to confirm by removing a specific wire and see if the speaker in question seizes to play this confirming the color coding to be correct and accurate and so on before proceeding. Anywayz, Here is the stock Audio wiring including speakers for the 2000 - 2005 PT Cruiser. * Car Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Pink/Light Blue * Car Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Red/White * Car Radio Ground Wire: Black * Car Radio Illumination Dimmer Wire: Orange * Car Radio Power Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A * Car Radio Amplifier Turn On Trigger Wire: N/A * Front Speakers #1 Size: 6.5" * Front Speakers #1 Location: Front doors * Left Front Speaker #1 Wire (+): Green * Left Front Speaker #1 Wire (-): Brown/Blue * Right Front Speaker #1 Wire (+): Purple * Right Front Speaker #1 Wire (-): Blue/Red * Front Speakers Dash Speaker Size: 3.5" bolt pattern, proprietary hole size. Plastic must be grinded to fit 3.5" speakers. * Front Speakers #2 Location: Dash corners * Left Front Speaker #2 Wire (+): Gray/Purple * Left Front Speaker #2 Wire (-): Gray/Yellow * Right Front Speaker #2 Wire (+): Dark Green/Purple * Right Front Speaker #2 Wire (-): Dark Green/Yellow * Rear Speakers Size: 5x7" * Rear Speakers Location: Back "D" pillars * Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Brown/Yellow * Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Brown/Light Blue * Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Blue/White * Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Blue/Black

Thanks a lot for the wiring colors, Candyman. I'll have to look into it in the next few days and see what I can figure out.

The wires weren't the exact colors, however both sides had a Dark Green/Purple and a Red/Blue so I just figured that the DG/P was positive and the tweeters ended up working fine. The sound was dead on, absolutely perfect. I have to get the hole saw from my dad to mount them in the sail panels, so I'll post pictures after I get them mounted.

I didn't take any of the installation process sadly... it wouldn't really have a point: 90% of the time was spent running wires from the dash to the rear doors, the other 10% was removing panels and splicing wires together.
