Default Factory Radio Model ID?

Where do I find the description for the various radio models. I have a RAQ which is a 6-disc, mp3, SAT Unit with no AUX input in my 06 PT Cruiser. I have been looking at factory radios on ebay with an AUX input. They give the radio model (REF, RAQ, REK, REG, ...) but do not say anything about AUX input.

I have been a PT owner for about 6 weeks and have been using an FM transmitter unit. It works the best when I remove the antenna. I'm looking for other options.

Just an idea, Why not put in an aftermarket radio.

You can get a Receiver that is sat. ready, mp3's/ipod, HD radio,

and with cool options Like 6 Pre outs (to connect amps)

7 Band Grapic Equalizer, to tweek your music to your taste. You can also add a subwoofer to one of these.

I have the Pioneer MVH 8200 I paid 140, and it is over 300 MSRP. It has all the above features, and sound much better than the stock.

I don't see a reason to buy a new factor radio, when aftermarkets are better, and probably the same price. Is there a specific reason you need to?

Look at the photo on the listing, the aux port is clearly visable. Also, be sure to put aux port in your search. I know there's tons out on ebay, I was looking for one for my 2004 and all I can find are for 06 and up.

You could go to the dealership, ask to speak with the tech; get the price and part number.

Don't buy from him, it will be 500% more than you can find it online. Finding the part number is the key to your visit with the dealer.

But still, if you need to replace the entire radio, you can get a very nice after market one for under 200 bucks, that does Sat Radio, HD radio, Blue Tooth, IPod, has connections for amps, and has a good EQ.

forget the 6 cd changer. just 1 120 G Ipod is like having a 1000 CD changer
