Default Factory CD Player/Changer For Sale??

Hi, I'm really new to this forum, this is my first post actually. I was wondering if anyone had a factory CD-Player, or changer for a 2001 PT Cruiser for sale? I have been looking for one, to replace the cassette player in mine.
I checked mopar, and there is no way I am paying $525, or $410 for one straight from them. Does anyone know if a aftermarket CD changer will hook up to the regular cassette player? I do have a really really nice aftermarket CD player in my Duster, but I would rather keep the PT Cruiser stock looking. How does a aftermarket cd player look in these?? I just bought my Cruiser, so I am new to all of this.

Thanks a lot,

Matthew

E-Bay has them for $125-175 all the time.

The 2002 and newer radio has completely different wiring connectors and wil not just plug in to a 2001 PT.

Agree with MX-5, e-bay is the place to check for a deal.

But the connectors to do so are only like $20

JaxPT - let me know how much you would sell your CD player for, and I will let you know if I am interested. I think I can get a wire harnes similar to what you get to install an aftermarket radio to install the newer radio in mine.

Thanks,
Matt

Oh yeh matt, what IR said...i figure its worth $100 right, its in perfect condition, i bought the car like 2 weeks ago and i have a whole system from my other car that i wanted in the pT. its a 2003 but all ya gott do is get the harness that fits the unit and do some creative crimping on the wires into the dash. shouldnt be a problem gettin it to work.

actually i think i have still have the harness part that clips into the stereo, i clipped the wire about 1" back from it, so really all ya gotta do is splice the wires to your dash wiring

e-mail me if ya want it and we can work out ship/payment etc...
